Midterm Reality Bites

Has anyone done a search on their dubious congressperson lately? Use Google and check out the sponsor link on the right.

The Drum Major Institute for Public Policy (DMI) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to progressive public policy for social and economic fairness. the organization conducts research into overlooked, but important social and economic issues. The organization issued it's third-annual scorecard for the Midterm Middle Class Record for 2005.

John Shimkus (IL-19) received a score of 0 (an F obviously). No surprise there. He keeps company with his puppetmaster -- another one deserving a score of 0.

Jerry Costello (IL-12) received a score of 38 (another F). The Melissa Bean (IL-08) of So. IL needs to leave office just like his Republican counterpart.

The Middle Class is quickly disappearing for a reason. That reason is not just the Republican Party. Status quo Blue Dog Democrats (DINOs) give everyone a bad name.

John Shimkus has already pledged to run in 2008 after he pledged not to. Every IL-19 voter should realize how so very wrong this man is for Central and So. IL. Dan Stover is the better person for the job. Give the most lackluster member of Congress his walking papers in November.
