And Fun Was Had By All

The Downstate Democrats for Change (DDFC) hosted Trivia for Democracy at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Hall of Local 309 in Collinsville on June 10, 2006. They organized the fundraiser for the Dan Stover for Congress Campaign. The event included all the bells and whistles for a really fun night benefiting a great cause -- raising money for the Danny Stover (D-Centralia) campaign in IL-19.

Some of the nicest, most hardworking people anyone could ever meet provided 50/50 Tickets, Attendance & Cash Prizes, Grab Bags, and a Silent Auction for 120 participants. The event raised over $2,000 for Stover’s goal of removing John Shimkus (R-Collinsville) from his IL-19 seat on November 07, 2006.

Members of the DDFC truly appreciated everyone who participated in the event and IBEW Local 309 for lending their Collinsville facility to support the Stover Campaign. Both the candidate and Mrs. Stover attended the event, provided assistance throughout the evening, and even stayed late to clean up afterwards.

Karen Sandefur has provided a link to some pictures from that night. She reminds everyone how important it is that Danny wins the election in November, so we can send him to DC and work in the best interest of ALL Americans. If you go to his website and read his stance on the issues our nation is struggling with, you'll see he has some real sensible approaches to them.

No arguments here only a lot of posts providing justification for her perspective.
