A Request: Congressional Investigation of the Save-A-Life Foundation

At a Wednesday event, Tim Bagwell, PhD, will share news about his formal request for a governmental investigation of the Save-A-Life Foundation. One is currently underway.

U.S. House candidate Tim Bagwell, PhD (D-Olney), will hold a press conference at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29,2010. He will conduct it in the Blue Room of the Illinois State Capital.

The purpose for the news conference is issues of Congressional oversight of the Save-A-Life-Foundation (SALF). The organization was a high-profile Chicago area non-profit. Since 2006, it has been the subject of numerous media exposes:

Rep. John Shimkus (R-Collinsville) has taken credit for arranging millions of federal taxpayer dollars to fund SALF. At the upcoming press conference, Dr. Bagwell will ask Congressman Shimkus to initiate a federal investigation to determine if those millions – along with millions in Illinois state funds awarded to SALF - were improperly administered.

This should be good.

Bring popcorn!
