Tim Bagwell, PhD, was gathering signatures on his petitions. He has since decided to support Danny Stover, a Centralia City Councilman. At this time, he feels that he is better able to serve the public & help more candidates thru the DCCPAC. “As a committed Democrat, I thought it best to move aside & support the candidacy of Danny Stover. He is the best choice for the 19th CD at this time,” says Dr. Bagwell.
The Madison Co. Democratic Grassroots Organization will host a “meet n’ greet” for the Democratic Congressional candidates in February. It will be an opportunity to hear what the candidates have to say and ask them questions in a town hall forum. There will be more information available when the group has a location.

If “Rong” Emanuel loses in March, he could always ask for his old job back at the bank. He has done such a poor job as DCCC chairman that they just might lock the doors on him. Time will tell.
Gordon Maag’s vacant seat on the 5th Appellate Court is an open race, more or less. The IL Supreme court appointed Judge Steve McGlynn (R) to temporarily fill Gordon Maag’s vacancy when he left the
